Interdiciplinary intergrative skills and acute myeloid leukaemia research

Faduola P, Hakim A., Mansnerus A, Imai A, ONeill R

Interdisciplinary research provides a mode for connections that may lead to new discovery to solve complex questions and problems through the interfaces and frontiers of the disciplines involved. The Aim of this paper is to show how interdisciplinary teamwork (ID-T) in the Translational Medicine of Acute Myeloid Leukaemia (AML) could encourage scientific and clinical teams to approach leukaemia through a number of different disciplines by sharing data and findings with each other and acting on information produced by other teams to create projects where the summation of outputs/outcomes is much greater than each of the discipline. Though a number of barriers can prevent effective integration across disciplines, this work show how using the correct tools and structures for bridging such disciplines, commitment from all stakeholders, and the right leadership capability and capacity could produced a research team with suitable interdisciplinary intergrative skills necessary Is Soma legal to buy? for translating AML research.
